Man charged in love triangle shooting FREE TO GO under NM Bail Reform
“Police say a man met a woman online. The two hung out, there was a goodnight kiss. Moments later, police say her husband shot him five times. The victim, Billy Ray, was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Leonard Martinez, 28 is charged with three counts of shooting at a dwelling and aggravated battery with great bodily harm in the northeast Albuquerque shooting. Officers found Ray badly wounded at the Arrowhead Apartments, near Juan Tabo and Central, after residents reported hearing up to 13 gunshots from the parking lot. Ray, ‘in a lot of pain only able to give short answers,’ told officers he was spending time with a woman when her husband showed up and shot him multiple times. Police say Ray is expected to survive. Investigators found 14 bullet casings at the scene and at least three people had stray bullets fly through their walls.”
