Bail Reform Benefactors Are Well Funded Criminals And Local Gangs
Assemblyman Rob Bonta (D-Oakland) and Senator Robert Hertzberg (D-Van Nuys) are attempting to get CA. residents to pay for defendants and make them feel guilty if they don’t support AB 42 and SB10 – the California Money Bail Reform Act. Bail Reform eliminates defendants from having to post bail and allows for their immediate release with no accountability to the courts, law enforcement or you—the public.
Salesmanship is key with Bail Reform. Assemblyman Rob Bonta and Senator Robert Hertzberg market the initiative via minority children toting signs that say “Poverty is not a crime.”
Everyone agrees. Poverty is not a crime. Committing heinous acts is a crime.
Bail reform protects the bottom line of organized crime, human traffickers, and gangs that take advantage of the most vulnerable. Bail reform applies to the local heroin dealer that sells to high school kids; the car-jacker who just took your ride; the burglar that stole everything from your home; the pedophile arrested in your neighborhood; and child pornographers caught with a film.
Bail Reform covers these criminals under the mask of “Poverty is not a crime”. These people are not poor. They are well funded by their crimes. The advocates of this bill would have us believe that poor people commit these crimes. Poor people don’t commit crimes. Criminals commit crimes. Poverty is not a crime – stealing, abusing and molesting are crimes, and low-income families are equally victimized by these criminals.
On 5/22/17 the Assembly Appropriations Committee concluded Bail Reform would cost CA. hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars for pretrial services and tens to hundreds of millions for court-appointed attorneys to defend cases http://bit.ly/2pH9QwB. The current bail system prevents this. So while good citizens are paying more, criminals pay nothing and can get their gang back into action without interruption.
One of the companies engulfed in this battle is Lipstick Bail Bonds
Lipstick Bail Bonds provides bail bonds in Santa Ana, CA. as well as bail bonds in Orange County, LA County and throughout California. They are currently working with Dog the Bounty Hunter out of Hawaii and other California bail agencies to stop this bail out.
