Man charged in armed robbery, FREE TO GO under NM Bail Reform, violates release conditions 3 times
“A suspected criminal got more than he bargained for when he tried to hold up a northeast Albuquerque AutoZone Friday night. Police say Michael Wiggins tried to rob the store at gunpoint, when another customer allegedly pulled out their own gun and ordered him to the ground. Police say Wiggins then dropped his firearm, which turned out to be a pellet gun. According to court documents, Wiggins told police he dropped the gun because he didn’t want to get hurt. In the court documents, he goes on to say that he tried robbing the business because he had fallen back into a heroin addiction, and heard that other people had been getting away with robberies in Albuquerque. … Wiggins is being charged with armed robbery following the incident.”
