Man charged with beating and robbing an Uber driver and released under NJ Bail Reform arrested again for sexually assaulting girl, 15, just weeks later
“Weeks after a judge released a man charged with beating and robbing an Uber driver, he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl in Ridgewood, authorities charged. Brandon C. Ryan, 22, of Kearny was freed in May by Municipal Judge George Savino — under the terms of New Jersey’s 2017 Bail Reform & Speedy Trial Act — a day after screen grabs posted on Daily Voice from a surveillance video in the Uber driver’s car led to his arrest by Carlstadt police. This past Friday, detectives from Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal’s office and Ridgewood police took Ryan into custody again. He was charged with sexual assault and child endangerment.”
